Dell OS Recovery Tool Download – For users of Dell OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) computer devices, there are features that can be used to recover corrupted operating systems.

With this feature when there is a problem with the operating system you are using, you can perform a recovery so you don’t have to do a troublesome reinstall (that’s if you know the Windows serial key / license).

There are 3 ways to perform a recovery on a Dell computer, namely:

With a key combination, which will restore the Windows system from the recovery partition.
With an installer DVD (usually included in the purchase package).

The last method (Dell OS Recovery) is used if:

Damaged/formatted recovery partition

How to Use Dell OS Recovery Tool Download

Okay, just go to step by step how to use Dell OS Recovery Tool to recover corrupt Windows.

Install Dell OS Recovery Tool (make sure your computer is running Windows 7 or later operating system and has .Net Framework 4.6.2 installed)
Open the Dell OS Recover Tool application. When you open it for the first time, there will be a warning to enter the Service Tag, click OK then enter your computer’s Service Tag in the column provided. Wait for a moment. The application will match your computer’s Service Tag with the data on their server (make sure your computer is connected to the internet). After that click the Next button.
On the next screen you can select the operating system to be downloaded & installed. Choose as you wish. Then click the Download button. (Remember operating system file sizes tend to be large (up to 7 GB).
The application will then download the operating system file you selected. Wait until the download process is complete. After that click Next.
Plug / insert your flash disk, wait until it is detected then click the Burn OS button. If there is a warning just click Yes. Wait until the burning process is complete.
After the burning process is complete, eject the flash disk and use it as boot media for Windows installation.
Don’t forget to download the appropriate driver for your computer hardware because Dell OS Recovery Tool only installs the Windows operating system & its license, drivers are not included.

Troubleshooting :

Dell OS Recovery application won’t install, always ask for .Net Framework. Solution: install .Net Framework 4.6.2 or higher.
When the Service Tag is entered the application does not detect the Service Tag. Solution: check the Service Tag that is entered. Make sure the computer is connected to the internet & the application is allowed to access the internet (firewall).
An error message appears when downloading the ISO file / operating system. Solution: make sure your internet connection is fast enough (recommended above 5 Mbps). Make sure there is enough free space on the C: drive (at least 15 GB).
An error message appears when burning ISO. Solution: make sure the flash disk is detected & has enough free space.
